A special thank you to Matt Hill and Renee Myers
For the past five years our club has grown with leaps and bounds through the contributions and dedication of our board members. In 2011 LYA added the Recreation Soccer program and the following year the Basketball Travel and Rec programs. One constant member throughout this growth period was Matt Hill, our Board Treasurer. Matt provided the LYA Board the accounting expertise and the voice of reason to manage through this exciting and complicated growth period. His countless hours helped run LYA as a financially sound youth non-profit and he provide the fiscal discipline to control costs and grow to improve the services to our club, teams, players, and the Lumberton Township. As Matt steps down and resigns from his LYA Board position, our members wanted to take time to say "thank you" on behalf of the LYA Board and entire club for all he has contributed to Lumberton Youth Association. Your absence will be truly missed and you are a consummate professional! In his footsteps Mark Miller, LYA coach, has accepted the position of our new LYA Treasurer.
Another individual that has served our Board the last couple of years will also be stepping down, Renee Myers our Director of Recreational Soccer. Renee will focus her time to support other community activities. Renee provided LYA two strong years of service as Director of Recreational Soccer and was a strong advocate for our program and kids delivering positive results for the Rec program. Renee has solidified our recreational soccer to a much sought after program for the kids of Lumberton and the surrounding community, and prepared kids and coaches to play & coach at the next level of Travel Soccer. Renee has firmly put in place a Rec Soccer program structure that the Board intends to continue and support for years to come.
At this time we are also restructuring some executive positions on the LYA Board: Luis Don will step down as President and take on the vacated Director of Recreational Soccer position. John Vining has accepted the position of new President. John was the existing Vice-President and will continue to provide the club strong guidance and support moving forward. Rosanne Kwiatkowski has accepted the position of Vice-President and will vacate her role as Director of Events which the club will look to fill shortly. All other Board positions remain in tact.
